Local combat veterans Brian Wilson, Ronnie Allen, and Nathan Jones shared how they’re helping fellow vets — and invited all to the Delaware County Veterans Stand Down on Sept. 16, 10 a.m.–2 p.m. at Heartland Hall, Delaware County Fairgrounds. Free with proof of service, featuring 40+ resources.
Conductor Isaac Denniston introduced the newly renamed White River Orchestra and their family-friendly fall concert, Once Upon a Sound — Oct. 11 in Muncie & Oct. 12 in New Castle. Free and open to all.

Delaware County Today welcomed Isaac Denniston, conductor of the newly renamed White River Orchestra (formerly ECICO). He shared the group’s mission of bringing music across the region, blending classics with modern favorites like Marvel scores and even Abbey Road.
Big news: their free fall concert, Once Upon a Sound, is coming up!

October 12 – 2:30 p.m. at New Castle High School, in partnership with New Castle Library

They discussed the challenges of returning from combat, the vital role of Veterans Service Officers, and how local vets can get help with housing, food, addiction recovery, and more.
Don’t miss the Delaware County Veterans Stand Down — Tuesday, September 16th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Heartland Hall, Delaware County Fairgrounds. Free admission for all veterans with proof of service. Over 40 vendors will provide resources from the VA, health services, housing support, and more.
