This morning on Delaware County Today, we had the pleasure of speaking with Congressman-elect Jefferson Shrieve, the incoming representative for Indiana's 6th District! Since his election, Jefferson has been hard at work preparing for his role in Washington, DC. From freshman orientation to meeting colleagues across the aisle, he’s gearing up to make a difference. He shared how former Congressman Greg Pence has been helping him transition and offered insights into what it’s like to step into this important position. We also discussed key priorities for his term, including tackling the nation’s growing debt. Plus, Jefferson reflected on the role of communication in addressing national security issues, like the recent drone sightings. This is just the beginning of many conversations we’ll be having with Congressman-elect Shrieve as he steps into office in January.

“Every strong community has a strong press. That’s what we’re trying to do with WMUN. It’s a place for people to understand what’s taking place in the community. It’s a place for leaders in the community to talk about things. It’s a place for different voices in the community to bring up questions or concerns. That is something that’s been missing for some time,” J. Chapman.
